What are Cookies and Similar Technologies, and How Do We Use Them?
We, GS Gastro GmbH, use cookies and similar technologies on our respective domains to enable the use of certain features or make the websites more attractive. GS Gastro GmbH is responsible for the following domains:

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. Some of the cookies used are deleted after the browser session ends, meaning after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and allow us to recognize your browser during your next visit (persistent cookies). You can set your browser to be informed about the placement of cookies and decide individually whether to accept them or exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or in general. For more information, refer to the help section of your internet browser. If cookies are not accepted, the functionality of our website may be limited.
Similar technologies may include pixels, plug-ins, scripts, or other comparable technologies for storing information.
A pixel is a small string of code, for example, implemented in a website or email, through which information can be collected.
With other comparable technologies for storing information, such as Local Storage, a website or application can store information locally on your computer or mobile device or recognize locally available information.
In the following, we use the term "cookies" to refer to cookies, pixels, and all comparable technologies that access information on your browser or device.
We differentiate between essential cookies, which are strictly necessary for the use of our websites, functional cookies, which serve to enhance the convenience of using our website, performance & statistics cookies, which allow us to generate aggregated data on website usage and statistics, and marketing cookies, which serve to display relevant content and advertisements. By accepting our "Cookie Banner," you consent to the processing of your personal data by cookies. The legal basis for the use of performance & statistics and marketing cookies is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. The legal basis for the use of essential and functional cookies is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Below, you will find information about the individual cookies.
The legal basis for the use of essential and functional cookies is Article 6(1)(b) and Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. It is in our legitimate interest to present our website and online ordering options to you at all times with high quality and security. You can generally object to the use of cookies by adjusting your browser settings. This may prevent our pages from being displayed properly. Additionally, you have the option to make a custom selection under "Cookie Settings."
Personalization using the collected data
If you consent, we will also link information about you obtained through tracking on online media and your direct interactions with us, complement it with certain statistical information and calculated features, and analyze them together. We use various analysis methods, which may include machine learning techniques. This allows us to identify the characteristics of individual users and user groups and gain statistical insights.
The data linked and analyzed includes your personal details (e.g., name, email address, address), purchase data, interaction and communication data (information about direct contact between you and GS Gastro GmbH as well as the content of communication), other voluntary information, and statistical information and calculated features based on previous data analyses.
This is done to process the aforementioned data for targeted, personalized communication and personalized marketing management.
In particular, we will make predictions about interests, preferences, and other characteristics and optimize and prioritize communication based on these. For example, we will reach out to users at a likely optimal time through the preferred channel with appropriate visuals about interesting offers and actions (possibly across different devices), or dissatisfied customers will be contacted specifically. We can also prioritize and combine communications.
Google Consent Mode
We use the basic version of the "Google Consent Mode," a web service provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
The Google Consent Mode allows us and Google to respect your decisions regarding cookies and similar technologies, made through our cookie banner or cookie settings. Only if you have consented to the use of the respective categories of cookies will we set cookies from and for the Google tools described in these categories (e.g., Google Analytics and Google Ads). Depending on the type of cookie, these can be read by Google, for example, for reporting conversions in Google Ads.
If you do not provide consent, we will notify Google so that no cookies or third-party cookies from or for Google services are set. This is done by sending consent status "pings" to Google's servers, indicating the user's denial of consent. In addition to the "Consent Denied" information, such consent pings may also include: timestamp, user-agent (web only), referrer, information on whether the current or previously visited page on our website contained "ad-click" information in the URL, consent status information, and a random number generated with each page load. This is necessary so that all Google products we use can respect your decisions and not place cookies or collect information through cookies placed in your browser.
As usual, the IP address is recorded but discarded at the nearest Google server point. This is typically done within the EU if you visit our website from the EU (and do not use a VPN or proxy).
For more information on how we use Google Analytics (performance cookies) and Google Ads (marketing cookies), you can find it in the respective categories.
